feeling: full
listening to: randomized non-Japanese *gasp* stuff
I haven't gotten to see my nephew in over 2 weeks. T_T And last time I did, I couldn't hold him cause I was sick. My parents, lucky snots, get to see him pretty often now... for a while they rarely did, since they live an hour away from him (and his other grandparents live like, a mile away), which of course made my mother extremely depressed. But I guess lately Chris and Heather have been making more of an effort to offer my parents babysitting duties. They've watched him 3 days in the past few weeks, today being the third. Blast me for living on a campus 2 hours away during the week. *weep* But at least my mom's happy.
Gwar, this is gonna be a long week. Actually, it's gonna be a short week, since I go home Thursday for spring break, but it's gonna feel long cause I only have one final and it's not till Thursday. Don't have to study for multiple days for the thing either. Not even multiple hours. How to kill the time... besides sleep... ohhh, I got to sleep till 11:30 this morning. ^^ It was a beautiful thing. I haven't slept that late in months. And I was up till after 2 last night drawing, which is another thing I don't get to do much anymore. Came up with a couple new character concepts yesterday while watching Big Cat Diary (the best thing Animal Planet has to offer :D), but I think I'll only use them for art, not for an actual story. They're a pair of lioness sisters, lost/abandoned in adolescence, forced to live on bugs and rodents till they were old enough to really hunt, became a couple of the strongest ladies on the savannah. By the way, the concepts I created for them are, of course, morphs - meaning they have humaniod bodies, but lioness features. I have actual lioness designs for them too, but the morphs are more fun to draw. ^-^ Anyway, now that they've come of age, they've sorta created their own pride and are lookin' for a big tough lion to help them make it bigger. His morph's gonna be REALLY fun to draw. *rubs hands together* OR... maybe I'll just keep them bachelorettes, but create a male to chase them around and stuff. But they won't give the poor guy the time of day. Yeah, I think I like that better. My girls really don't seem like the family type.
It appears Toonami has ditched Tenchi AGAIN. >o< Freaking idiots! What does it take to get it through their heads that some of us are SICK of seeing DBZ and that crappy piece of CG "anime" they call Zoids? Those two are all that's left of Toonami now, not counting the late weekend night runs, which I don't often get to see, but anyway. Oh, wait... there is one other show in Toonami's afternoon block. I think it's Superman... or Batman, one of those. *rolls eyes* Ok, Toonami-baka... that is NOT anime. That is an American cartoon, and a cheap, crappy, newfangled, unoriginal one at that. -_-;;; Lord... you know, I really shouldn't even care about their daytime lineup. Dubs suck anyway. Especially the ones that Toonami butchers down to stuff about as entertaining as 20-minute toy commercials. Pathetic. But, since I don't often get to see their late night runs, and since I don't own subs of Tenchi *sigh*, it's all I have. Or it was. I'll just have to blow more money on the subs, I guess... blah, and I gotta save money for OhayoCon and cosplaying... ah, I'll more than likely be getting a job this summer anyway. Not by my own choice, of course. If I ever wanna be able to drive myself to and from campus, I'm gonna need gas money. Oh, there'll also be plenty of loans to pay off in a couple years. Erg. Why am I here?
Speaking of dubbed anime, go check out Dub This! It's a very funny online comic that makes fun of anime the way it's seen by people who think Americanized Sailor Moon, DBZ, and Pokemon are the only animes in existence. Oh yeah.
I'm gonna go look up names for my lioness ladies now. And then draw them some more. And then watch Whose Line. And then go down to the lobby at 9 to play with puppies. ^^ That's a great thing about this dorm... often, during finals weeks, the animal shelter brings us a few puppies to play with for an evening as a study break. Wonderful, wonderful thing. *luvey sigh*
