feeling: my head hurts
listening to: Chrono Trigger - Zeal Island Theme
English is oveeerrrrrr!! *does a happy jiggy dance* Well, it's not really over-over, but it's over enough for me. The stuff I had to have done for that class by this morning: my research paper, which ended up being 12 pages; a 15-20 minute argument presentation for the class along with two other people; a 5-page paper based on that presentation; and the easiest part, an excerpt of Beowulf to read. I also had to memorize a short conversation and some vocab for Japanese. And I was only home, awake, and not showering (or watching my Tenchi X3) for about 2 hours total on Saturday. I won't even mention Friday and Sunday. But, suffice to say that I managed to finish all of that between last Wednesday evening and midnight last night. And I had to dress up for the presentation today, which means I had to wear these monstrous dressy platform heels cause they're the only shoes I have in between tennies and, like, my senior prom shoes. Walking on them between here, Japanese, English, lunch, and back here - each trip averaging maybe 10 minutes. Freaking OUCH. >_< *rubs feet* Anywho, we only have one more class meeting for English, and it will be spent filling out teacher evaluations and giving informal mini-presentations about our research papers and our definition of monstrosity. Not a huge deal. So yeah, thank the good mother of cheese that's over.
Arrrg, I hit my head so hard a couple hours ago. >n< On the side/bottom of my bed, which is a loft - basically like a bunkbed, only with a computer desk on the bottom half instead of a second bed. I was bent over my desk doing something, and stood up, and THWACK. My head is still throbbing.
And one final bit o'news: I got Pocky. XDDD *jitterbugs* My very fist box...es. ^-^ Got chocolate, strawberry, and pudding... and all of 'em are just *smooch*~ I've been wanting some of this stuff for a long time now, after hearing from every anime person I've ever known who's had it raving about how awesome it is... and finally found a little Japanese grocery store that sells it. That was Friday... and a few of my Jap teachers were standing outside there, apparently meeting up to go eat in the nearby Jap restaurant. Said hi to me. Interesting encounter, that was. Oh, also, this morning when I was leaving the building my Jap class is in, I saw a tiny little Japanese girl sitting on a bench in the lobby, talking to a guy I assume was her daddy. Maybe about four or five years old. God, she was adorable. XD All smiley and dressed up and kicking her lil feetsies in the air and I actually understood some of what her squeaky little kawaii voice was saying... it took all I had not to squeal out loud as I walked past her~ ^____^
*is weird*
