feeling: strangely dandy
listening to: Outlaw Star - Tsuki no Ie
Got to see a new anime last night. ^^ Well, new to me, anyway. Outlaw Star, tis called. The dubbed version has actually been on Cartoon Network's Toonami block for a while now, but it came on right around the time I started to... um, boycott?... Toonami for ditching my Tenchi. >_< But it came back recently, so... woo. Anywho, I never bothered to watch Outlaw Star, cause the previews and such just didn't appeal to me, and I guess I was just lumping it together with the other animes on Toonami at the time, which I do not care for - namely DBZ *retch* and Gundam (supposed to be good, but it bores me...). But yeah, I spent most of yesterday with Dumpling-chan watching subtitled Outlaw Star tapes that she borrowed from a buddy. And it's actually pretty cool. ^^ I'm gonna have to try to start watching it on Toonami now... I know it's on Saturday nights, dubbed but uncut... which is cool cause I can't watch it during the week while I'm at school anyway. Woot. Um, but me and Dumpling didn't get to see the full series... I had to leave a bit before 2 a.m. cause my head was starting to hurt a bit, I had to be awake and getting ready for church in about 5 hours, and my parents were probably getting a bit worried since I'd had to drive there and back on an old spare tire. Not recommended. So we didn't realize it at the time, but there were only 2 or 3 episodes left after I watched the last one I saw and left. T_T Blast it, I hate when I get to the point of no return in an anime and then can't finish it for at least another week... buuut, it's probably a good thing I didn't wait any later to leave. Cause that little headache that was starting before I left rapidly turned into the nasty evil death ache from Hell. I seriously thought I might pass out at the wheel. Not because I was tired - that's never been a problem for me while driving, weirdly - but because it hurt so much. But, all went well, I got home, laid in bed whining and writhing till sleep finally came, woke up feeling mostly better, and chased away any lingering ache with some max-strength Tylenol. Didn't take any before going to bed cause my the time it'd have started to kick in, it'd have been about time to wake up. :p Bloody slow-acting stuff. However, I feel quite fine now, and amazingly less drowsy than I usually am on Sundays.
Um, did I mention this whole blog is born of total and utter boredom, which will explain any nonsensicalness or disarray? Well, it is. Since my quarter is over now except for one final on Thursday that won't be a big deal at all, I have nothing that needs to be done. It's been a while since I was last able to say that. ^^ Hmm, I hope my roommate gets done with finals and leaves for break before Thursday. Now, nothing against her at all. She's a nifty kid. Just that I like having our room to myself now and then, so I can watch anime and listen to music without worrying about disturbing her. She gets every weekend to herself when I go home, but I'm lucky to have the room alone for 2 hours at a time. And I've been really wanting to watch my Escaflowne tapes lately, for some reason.
Ok, we have some retarded squirrels on our property. I swear. Right now I am watching one of them as it is licking our picnic table in the backyard. Yes, licking our picnic table. The ends of it, around the legs. We've been seeing them there pretty much every day for the past month or so, at least, licking away for hours at a time. Well, they occasionally take breaks to run from our cats, but... :P Anyway, we have at least two squirrels that get a kick out of doing this... I've actually seen them fighting over it. o_O That table must taste great... not sure how, cause it's probably about 13 years old, and made of treated wood that you'd think would make them sick... *shrug*
I'm soooo bored... *sigh* Oooh, I know what I could do... I need to find an Outlaw Star image gallery that has the gorgeous, gorgeous artworks that play during the closing credits. Then I need to print some of them out and try to rip them off. XD No, seriously, these pictures are absolutely beautiful. I'd just like to be able to reproduce some of the poses and linework styles and stuff in them. Yeah. I'm gonna go search now. Buhbai~
