feeling: blah
listening to: some Japanese movie on AZN, formerly the International Channel

Just in case anyone cares to see just what a trashhole my room really is at the moment...

Here is a photo tour of what I have to clean up top to bottom, almost to the point of emptying, so dad can repaint. Pardon the quality of most of these images... they were taken at like 2:30 am and I was too tired to care about messing with digicam settings.

Here's the view from just outside the doorway. Note the use of remnants and rugs instead of actual carpet (what you can't see is bare plywood) and the butchered bedsheets trying to pass off as curtains. That black thing under the window is my still-packed suitcase from Ohayocon. Which was in January.

Far corner, left of the window from the doorway. Next to the stereo system is a large pile of CDs and cassettes, and the white box next to that contains VHS tapes; more CD cases and tapes, mostly my BLOOD stuff, are on top of the DVD player (and yes, that's my hide plushie up there). Behind the TV is an antique rollaway desk absolutely buried in junk I neither want nor need anymore, so my goal is to get rid of it for space. This corner was even worse until a few days ago when I put all my DVDs and some tapes in that little white shelf unit. And yes, that lone poster is Midgar in all its glory. Got that one free when an eBay seller screwed up one of my orders for FF7 goodies.

Opposite corner, still viewing from the doorway. Random piles of stuff on the floor, drywall mud all over the walls, completely unkempt waterbed with a pile of clothes on it waiting to be hung in the closet (I move that pile to my computer chair when I'm ready to go to bed >>)... and that top pillowcase is a kiddie fishy pattern because it was the only one clean when it needed changed. >.> There's an expendable little white end table buried in old junk hiding between the bed and the computer desk there; that's where I want to put the recliner if I can manage enough shuffling. Note big boy Zeus behind the pillow *huggles him* with little orange tiger Nanaki and little white lion Issa between his forepaws, as well as my little Smokie on top of the clothing pile. And yes, those are four water jugs under my floppy giant bear, and an aquarium siphon coiled around his hat... and fear the nifty ocelot throw pillow behind him. Also, yep, that's another FF7 poster... came with the Midgar one. Oh, and that prettyful gift bag was given to me by my kitty last July. It has sat in various spots throughout the room; it's so pretty I can't bring myself to stash it anywhere out of sight. ^^;

Taken from right in front of the windows, facing the doorway. Nasty greasy smudges all over the wall above my computer desk on the left. >_< The shelves on the right contain all my beanie critterbobs, and below them are the best of my plushie collection (not counting the ones on the bed). My broken printer sits in front of the closet door. Also note the bookshelf - all but the top surface and bottom shelf are nice and orderly now, whereas a week ago they were a mess too. And that pile of books on the floor is all of my manga, waiting to be moved to the bottom shelf, which still needs to be cleaned out. And yes, my calendar is weird.

Computer desk corner. Noooow you see that insane bottom shelf. >.> Still a couple stacks of books and manga there waiting to be shelved too. And behind that bookshelf in the corner is a little white end table which is almost completely cleared off now; soon as it's done I'm getting rid of it. No spare surface space on the computer desk either. Note also the to fish tanks (they look all bare since the java moss died ><)... I may move one of those to the top of the bookshelf instead of getting a third tank. Dunno. Also notice the back view of my spiffy tiger lamp. :P I don't care how tacky that thing is, I love it.

The "plushie corner." That blue plastic tub is still empty; I've filled one, along with three smaller ones, and moved them to another room (except the one still sitting there beside it). Old random stuff ALL OVER the dresser. I would move the bookshelf into this corner, but it would block the register... would put a new fish tank there but the air from the register would mess with the water temps... the recliner would fit well here, but it'd be pointless unless I put a floor lamp there for reading light.

And for kicks, here's the light fixture, complete with the BEETLE PLAGUE OF DOOM. Well, a fraction of it. I just emptied the bug corpses out of that light cover, like, two days ago.

And there you have it. Now I'm going to go eat a cookie and vegetate some more.

...And dude, Blogger doesn't have an option to preview posts anymore... ><
