LOL!
Found out this evening at the tail end of an amusing chain of discoveries that Ohio State will be holding its own, very first anime convention this spring. To be called Anime Punch, to be held on Saturday, April 30 in the Ohio Union. Gonna have their own cosplay event and everything. Oooooo. >.> And it amuses the crap out of me that, on the info page of this "convention," they give information for the nearest hotel AND directions on how to get there from the airport. Yeeeeeah, I'm sure people will be flying in from all over the country to witness this. *snort* Come on, it's ONE DAY. And the total attendance probably won't top 100, if even 70 or 80.
But you know what? I'm tempted to go there just to have an excuse to go to Mirror Lake Cafe again and buy their brownies. 9_9 They had the BEST brownies, dangit. 5 or 6 different kinds in any given day, always fresh, cut large, very rich, some with lots of fluffy frosting lathered on... *drool*
And the best part is, it'd also be an excuse to go back to the Marketplace for a meal and frozen coffee. *_* AND Bento Go Go is right across the street from the Union. *____* Not to mention the Union food court actually has some good restaurants... *meltdown*
Yes... if I went to this thing I'd be too busy running back and forth between my former food service mistresses to have any idea what's going on at the con. >.> <.< Though, since it's a Saturday, Mirror Lake won't open until 2:30 and they won't have any good entrees like on weekdays... but that's cool, as long as they have brownies. And I don't even know what the Marketplace's weekend hours are... >< But ahem... yes, it is very tempting.
It's sad when you want to go back to college again just for the FOOD. T_T Mirror Lake subs and entrees and brownies... anything and everything Marketplace... Belgian waffles and chili cheese fries and good ice cream (Hershey's as opposed to soft serve) and sundae fixin's at the commons...
Now I'm all nostalgic. T_T I need to find a restaurant or something around here that has Belgian waffles... and I highly doubt there's any good frozen coffee to be found in this sad little town, other than the Moolattes at Dairy Queen... *sigh*
I'm hungry...
